Golf near Haltwhistle

I’m going to be around Haltwhistle for about a week starting Tuesday. Does anyone have any suggestions for nearby courses?

Haltwhistle in Northumberland?
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

I've heard good reports of Brampton, only twenty minutes from Haltwhistle. Also Carlisle.

The standout course in the area though, is Silloth. It's an hour away.

Yes, Brampton is quite fun. I have played it several times. Silloth is the standout course, and over the water Southerness is a fine course. But it's not far if you head east for Hexham (nice parkland layout) and several good courses around Newcastle.

If you're willing to travel to Newcastle, I'd happily host at The Northumberland.

I think you'd really enjoy Brampton.  Some poor holes but some really fun ones too.  Silloth must be more than an hour from Haltwhistle.  Haltwhistle itself has a website that claims to be the most scenically and historically interesting course in the country.  Both claims I have reason to doubt.  I have never played it, nor have any of the other locals I know whose opinion I would trust.

Tyneside is another Colt course and Willie Park Jr was pro there for a while, I believe.  I like it.  Mark's suggestion of Hexham is also worth a look.  Very much parkland but not bad at all.

was a recent GCA thread on the delights of Cumbria, and Silloth (the pinnacle of Cumbrian golf, unquestionably) is almost exactly an hour's drive from Haltwhistle (which may be further away than you want)

Brampton has some pretty rambunctious contour, which Braid tackled full-on!

Silloth if you're prepared to drive an extra 30minutes or so.

I’m looking at Bramley short term and maybe Silloth next week. Bramley sounds like an opportunity for a lesser known Braid.  As for Silloth, An hours not too long a drive considering the quality of the course and the proximity to the Coast, Lake District, etc. Thanks to all.
