UK Knock Out 2019
« on: January 13, 2019, 02:26:01 PM »
I'm more than moderately impressed that we've managed to play the UK knock-out through to a finish two years running (even if the 2018 version over-ran slightly.

Anyone up for a 2019 version?
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Mark,

Yes, I’m in for 2019.

Both years have gone pretty seamlessly - thanks for taking the lead in organising and also to Mike W for maintaining the tournament bracket sheet.

Thank you for organising Mark - more than happy to give it another go. If I win it 3 times in a row, do I keep the trophy?  ;D

It just occurred to me that we now have two undefeated participants as the 2017 winner was unable to defend this time around through injury...perhaps you should have a champion of champions play-off for the undisputed title.  ;)

Yes I am in - look forward to take on Boony if the draw makes it happen as I will be getting quite a few shots of him unlike 10 years ago!

No. If you win 3 times, you get stuffed and put on a plinth and Mark gets to keep you  ;D

The membership seems to be fairly evenly split between Scotland and Southern England with only a couple of us in the middle.

I am very happy to be put in the southern half of the draw - travelling 150 miles for a decent game doesn't worry me, particularly if I can let the train take the strain!

Southern half would be best for me, although i do get up to Scotland a fair bit so if needed to balance the numbers I can be flexible.
