I have spent the last 20 minutes reading the entirety of this thread, and haven't seen anything as egregious as what I am about to relate:
Playing Pine Valley with the former club president. I pulled my approach shot to number 18 so far left, it bounced through some woods, into the parking lot, and took out the rear window of a shiny Mercedes.
Turns out the car was owned by a magazine editor that I had never met, although I was contributing to his publication at that time!
The late Jim Finnegan was on propert that day, and when I purchased a copy of his Pine Valley history book, he was clever enough to inscribe it: "great to meet you on such a smashing occasion."
