You gotta love Ireland in November
« on: November 12, 2018, 12:23:33 PM »
Some of the day it was 45 degrees, blowing 25 mph, and raining sideways. Some of the day it was like this at the European Club.

Not many places I'd rather be.

I went to Ireland in November 6 years ago for golf.  Had brilliant weather every time I played, and terrible weather driving between courses, which means I couldn't see much of the country. The Cliffs of Moher were less than fifty yards from where I was driving, I think, and they might as well not existed such was the mist and fine rain.  Couldn't see a thing.

Still not sure whether that was a good or bad mix.

The wind was down in the morning and the sunshine was brilliant. There is something about golf along the sea that is riveting.

I can't get enough of it.

Well deserved, Tommy!
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Interesting that you should mention Trump National in a post about The European Club. Neither seems to get much love from the GCA thinkers. I have played both courses, not very well, but I enjoyed both, even though Mr Ruddy wrote quite offensively when I didn't include The European in World Atlas of Golf. It's still a good course, though.

Mark, any plans to come to the US?

Sadly not, Tommy. I don't get to sing in the US any more - my principal employer died a few years ago. And my golf went off so badly that I no longer play. Pity.
