The peninsula is so ideal for golf.

I really hope they hit it out of the park on this renovation.

Seems the bones have always been there for another top 100 caliber course.

Thank god they didn't hire Gil Hanse who interviewed for the job.

Gil Hanse has potential if someone would give him a chance....

The NCGA did such a piss poor job on Poppy Ridge, they really shouldn't be allowed to be involved in any other sort of course architecture.

Cheers,

I'm very disappointed to learn Gil was denied this job. It's a gorgeous property and I think he would have produced something worthy of many 90-minute drives.

Hopefully RTJ2's firm  can improve on their original effort.

Jay was not working on or scheduled to work on this job at Poppy Hills. He was the lead on Chambers, The Patriot Club and Stanford practice facility which are courses discussed on here.

I can't wait to see RTJ2's attempt at giving Poppy the Pine Valley "look". Believe this will be his 2nd redux of the golf course, pretty amazing the NCGA keeps giving him hall passes.

You'd make a fine little helper. What's your name?

Does anyone know if. Jay did any work on thgis job before he was fired? (Laid off? )

I doubt it.  Jay came well after the last re-do of Poppy.   I'm not sure what other courses he was involved in except Chambers Bay and The Patriot.
