A year full of golfing highlights I am pleased to say...
I managed to acquanit myself with some old favourites, specifically Royal Dornoch and Brora where I hadn't been since I was a kid. To get to play those two with some of GCAs past and current finest certainly helped make the experince all the better! As did being able to spend time in a part of the World that I have always loved, with my wife, a big highlight being watching some of Scotland's spectacular wildlife such as ospreys and dolphins! Back to golf, and I did manage to get back to Beau Desert, Brancaster, Lindrick and Notts amongst others...
I also managed to get to play Deal for the first time, having previously caddied there for my brother in Open Qualifying, again with some of you beautiful people.
Quite a few new courses this year for me also, pick of the bunch being Royal Worlington & Newmarket, Swinley Forest and both courses at The Berkshire, Moortown, plus of course, this years Buda! Being able to host a group before Buda down at my beloved Burnham was an absolute pleasure, then Royal Portcawl, Clyne and Pennard were all magical in their own ways, not to mention, again, getting to share time with fellow GCAers. Though possibly the best moment was Eric's "May the Force be with You!"
Now all I need to do is keep my fingers crossed that we dont have a white Christmas and I can get to experience Woking over the holidays! Thanks one and all!
Cheers,
James
