The first is a little tight down hill then up to the green

Give me something.Rocks not in play but make the hole memorable.

Elevated green that repels the short miss

Mark, I heard that the R&A brought in Mr. Fazio to "Shadow Creek" the Old Course. . .

The scores were simply too low this year, and something had to be done.   ;)

St. Andrews???????
A little background would be nice.

It definitely isn't NY. And I don't recognize it as any Links trust course.
Is it an inside joke?

I am going to guess that it is in Tochigi, Japan.

The uphill 2nd also punishes the short miss

The down hill par 3 third is a test.Difficult recovery from the left side miss.

St Andrews 2000 is located in Rayong Thailand 30 minutes from Puttaya. There are several courses in this area with courses by David Graham,Robert Trent Jones Jr,Nick Faldo,Pete & Perry Dye and Jack Nicklaus. The Siam CC hosts an LPGA event.

On the way to ST Andrews if you pass the yellow Buda you are going the wrong way.Took two hours to find the place but only 20 to get back.Navigation with a THai taxi driver can be quite an experience.

That is some caddie attire. At least the ownership cares about them. More than can be said for most. Must say the course has a very confused look to it so far.
"I said in a talk at the Dunhill Tournament in St. Andrews a few years back that I thought any of the caddies I'd had that week would probably make a good golf course architect. We all want to ask golfers of all abilities to get more out of their games -caddies do that for a living." T.Doak

The par 5 18th hole is a treat. There is a centerline hazard of the tee.The player can go left or right but the right approach sets up better. The 2nd shot can be played to an upper or lower fairway if the green is not challenged.Again the upper fairway is level with the green and is an easier shot. All in all a great finish to a unique golf experience.

Centerline hazard looking back toward the tee.

Looking bach toward the tee again.

  Area past the hazard.

Both fairways looking toward the green.

  Alternate fairway on left.

  Toward the green.

  Water hazard left of tee.

  Green with surroundind bunkers.

  Green.
