Cabell,
I believe I had way back in the day. Believe they actually had the WV Open there... Only WE could set up a state championship outside the state. Did Todd S win it there? Man that was a long time ago.
I always liked Glade Springs though. It is a fun course with a few interesting quirky holes (4,5,12,16)... just one of favorites in WV.
Greg,
I believe Fincastle has hosted a couple of WV Opens. I don't know if Todd Satterfield won it there, but I do know he grew up in Bluefield playing at Fincastle. I think the course itself straddles the state line, so technically I suppose one could argue that they played the event in the state.
I can't say I know anything about Glade Springs, but I'd be pretty surprised if it topped Fincastle. Not that Virginia has a lot of competition, but I put Fincastle in my personal top 5 for the whole state (Cascades, Kinloch, Boonsboro, CCV - River, Fincastle).
Sounds like Ronald has some options though.
Ballyhack does look interesting outside Roanoke, but that's over an hour from I-77.
