Hi Mike,

I haven't played it, but it is generally assumed to be in the mid-level for E. Mass. private clubs.  Usually this means solid conditions, a decent if not fantastic layout, and a couple head-scratching holes.  They had a mid-am qualifier there a few years ago where one of the greens was so fast with its back-to-front tilt that they ended up having to delete that hole from the tournament and have 17-hole scores...  I believe Carl Yastrzemski is/was a member there.

I think the course/club is old...but has been touched up/changed/reno'ed by Cornish or Mungeam or Wogan or one of those guys...

Renaissance is the new one in Haverhill by Silva...lots of financial problems though...another solid course.

I have played the course twice and I enjoyed it very much.  There are quite a few fun holes and interesting shots.  The course is on the shorter side,  but there are still a couple very good, challenging par 4's.

I don't remember any real head-scratchers, given the length and limitations of the property there are a number of Driver-wedge, type holes.  The par 3's are good, and a few par 4's are very good.

The only other tidbit I remember is that the course actually crosses the MA-NH border a couple times.  Keep this in mind when computing sales tax on any transactions that may have occurred out there.
