We are adding a set of forward tees to our course where current teesets range from 5500-6900 yards. I know there are suggested recommendations for yardages that conform to junior golf etc. Would anyone know these numbers off the top of their head? I have already been on the USGA and First tee websites and thought that GCA might be the best place to find the information we seek.
Our goal is to find yardages that conform to our junior golf program while also catering to other markets such as ladies/beginners/seniors etc. Our course is a RTJ Sr, designed for difficult par, easy bogey, yada yada.. It discourages many high handicappers who choose to play the "other" club on the island mainly due to the difficulty( length, forced carries, lots of water, 98 bunkers, etc) Conversely, a large part of our financial support comes from low handicappers/long hitters etc, so softening the course in any other way is not an option.
I am open to all ideas, comments, criticisms, etc that may assist in our decision making process. Thanks in advance.
