It looks like Manito, I did not realize they hosted a PGA.

Sadly, only three PGA Championships in the PNW (two of them in the 1940's.)

Manito is right.  They hosted the PGA Championship back in 1944.  It is a Vernon Macan design from 1922.  It is an enjoyable setting with towering trees, but at just 6470 yards and not much room to expand it is limited on its ability to host any male USGA events in the future.

I was going to guess Sahalee in PNW based on the types of trees.

Very interesting. As many in this discussion group know, I've spent a lot of time researching and studying the works of Vernon Macan; but, I don't know anything about Manito.

The club's web site doesn't mention anything about Macan's involvement there. And, the photos Bill's posted suggest the course has been renovated over the years...

I wonder if the orginal course had the 100ft rough?  ;D
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.

Jay,

I could be wrong, but I don't think Macan worked in Hawaii.
