Count me as one who thinks blind shots are fun.
My course as a kid featured blind shots on 10 of the 36 full shots in the round so I may just be used to them.
I also just think it is fun to hit a ball over something, whether it is a hill or a tree or a building.
I would think more distance yardage information would increase the feasibility of designing blind shots rather than the other way around. Cart GPS reduces safety risk because you know exactly how far away the group in front is. For those that consider such shots unfair, having a gps distance reduces any perceived unfairness.
The biggest problem with eliminating blind shots is that it alters the landscape in such a manner so as to make golf courses more and more similar to each other. Part of the charm of a Links course or a golden age course in the US is that they did not have the money to alter the landscape and so you face situations that would simply be plowed away on most modern courses.
