I found a photo on the club's website that begins to suggest why I included Northland Country Club in Duluth on my list:

As one can see from the lists above starting with Cypress et al, this desert course would not make a top 100 list. I doubt it is top 10 desert.

Played Victoria GC a few weeks ago.  A stunning setting with eight holes on/near the water.  Maybe because it was 85 degrees and not a hint of wind, but playing golf seemed to be a distraction to enjoying all of the activity going on in and around the water.  I would have been equally as happy sitting in a lawn chair down on the 8th tee.

Never played Cypress....Pebble was beautiful but something about Royal Portrush  really got me !


Standing on that 5th tee  was pretty breathtaking!

Never played it, but Cypress Point is hard to pass on this scale.  #16 has to be the best hole in golf!
