I was doubly pleased as I support both Man U and Fulham.  If all goes well in Moscow, I'll have a trifecta!

I figured we'd have to see this at some point.

So, congrats to ManU.  Well done.  The best team won.

ps - I shall be rooting for the blue in Moscow.  Apologies.  But a double will be too much to stomach.  ;)

Really, it's not 10 but 17.  Need one more to match Liverpool:

PAUL..YES YOU ARE QUITE RIGHT...SCOUSERS ARE STILL LIVING ON THAT NUMBER FROM THE PAST ;D

I cannot help but feel that United will win number 19 before Liverpool do...but we will have to wait and see...but then you will just throw up the number of European cups into our face...but very deservedly so....
what a great game.....

That's like bragging that the GBI and/or Europe has more runner-up results in the Ryder Cup than the USA...... ;)

Get over it, Compadre, youse guys lost.

And, Huck, as for Arsenal, if playing beautifully meant anything in a golfing sense, Bob would be a scratch player and Gib P. a struggling 18.  As for you, the mind boggles.......

Rich:

Arsenal entertained then faded.  That kinda describes my golf game also.  ;D

And in terms of beauty, oh I know... let's just say in a golfing sense I am Bolton at their most vile.

But please, I have to be more "beautiful" than Gib... I mean I yam what I yam and I know how horrid my swing looks and came to terms with it long ago, but I have to look better than HE DOES...

Please?

We also set the record for best goal differential, beating Chelsea's from the 2004 campaign.

Watching the games the past two seasons has become more stressful knowing that winning is basically the only thing to achieve on the way to the title.  Every hiccup you begin to wonder, have we lost too many points to win the title, especially after securing 2 of the first 9 points on offer.

For someone who has been critical of Fergie during the 2004 and 2005 campaigns, boy, do I have egg on my face now!

I just hope the recently reported financial data about the Glazer's debts aren't as shocking as they seem, because we really need another 2-3 players to remain competitive.

Lastly, as to yesterday's match at the JJB, thank you Steve Bennett.

Huck--by the way, losses don't matter--total points do!  You need to spend the Emirates moolah if you want to remain competitive next year.

Peter - I only agreed with Mr. Huntley.  And it is little solace, but it is SOMETHING.

The summer transfer season should be interesting.  I fear more defections from Arsenal than substantive gains... but I am always very negative.

I am a little concerned about what is going on at Arsenal...and I stress a little concerned...all joking aside, I enjoyed watching them play this season...and that hurts to admit..but something is not right when Flamini and supposedly Hleb want to move on...I just do not get it.......
money will have to be spent if they want to improve or even stay where they are.
We know that Chelski will spend big, United will buy twp of three and Liverpool will spend on anything they think is good, so that they can have an even bigger squad to confuse....

Although I've had a season ticket at Chelsea for 25 years, I have to congratulate Man U - they were clearly the best team and deserved the title. Next season could be different, assuming Chelsea get a proper manager!

I am booked up for Moscow and can't wait for it.

I'm a Norwich City man but until they make their glorious return to the Premier League I follow Fulham so Saturday was a great day.

If one truly does love football of the non-American kind, then one ought to be concerned about what's going on at Arsenal.

Triple salaries speak loudly.  One simply cannot be surprised at any departure from a lesser-spending club.  Now it's an open question as to whether this lack of spending is due to will or means, but still....

It's not a good thing for any club when moves such as that of Flamini - and Hleb - happen.

That is unless one's club is Milan-based.

Meanwhile Manchester's best team (Sale Sharks) screwed up and failed to hold on to 4th place and all the European rugby that that brings.

Well done Man U, they were clearly the best team and the most entertaining.  Look at how many goals they scored.
Now can Leeds begin the march back to the Premier League this morning against Carlisle?

I hope so Ash, I miss the traditional march across the penines for the much loved friendly and sweet spirited affair ;)

I remember on Cantona's first return to Elland Road, the abuse was rather rich in colour...oh such happy days.....

Leeds are 2 down now.  There goes the season.  In the last regular season game, with nothing on it, the crowd was 38,000.  Those supporters deserve some success.  Looks like next season now.

I wish the match could end in a tie.  I was really pulling for Liverpool to be in the final as I can't bring myself to root for Chelsea or Man U (I'm an Arsenal supporter).

Farnsworth,

I saw my first Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge seventy years ago.  Allow me to wallow in the pit of nothingness until the Great One arrived. I must say I have gloated with unconcealed glee at how Man U. have said Abramavov is just buyting championships, this from the richest club in the world.

What is interesting, I just knew the Reds would pull it off and we would fail at the final hurdle.

The final hurdle is still ahead!  - although it seems to be getting taller all the time.
