When I was at merion for the US Amateur they turned off all the drinking fountains (or should that be both of them?) around the course so that those of us needing to quench our considerable thirst (gained the night before in the company of Messrs Paul and Morrisson) should buy Merion's own bottled water.

Were those bottles filled from the original showers or from the newer showers put in when they allowed ladies into the clubhouse. I should hate to think that I had parted with good money for water emanating from the ladies' room! Unfortunately it was non-vintage and so I could not easily deduce from the label whether this was pre-ladies or post-. Intensive tasting did reveal an underlying hint of Chanel Number something, but given the nature of the relationship between the men mentioned above, even that is no proof. Put me out of my misery, please! I need to know!
