This site creates fly overs of golf courses by hole.  I thought the site would be of interest to many.  I put a link to my home course for starters.

This site uses Google Earth to do flyovers, which means you can control the movements.

If they don't have a U.S. course you're looking for, you can submit a request. I did that, and the course was available the next day.
