Very impressive....the greens look like fun!

I have to say that I love the vistas in those photos. I would love to play more out West in the summer. I have only been to Montana and Yellowstone once and it is unique to the other Rocky Mtn states in a great way.

It looks like it is the Montana version of The Yellowstone Club from a business model? Montana being slightly less expensive and more remote.

I was worried when Craig said they had pictures of every hole ... luckily their photog took several from weird angles so you don't really know what those holes are like.  I am not a big fan of overexposure.

It's been so long since these holes were shaped and I still haven't had the chance to play them yet.  I look forward to spending some time in Montana this summer.

Mike S.:  Don't know what you mean about the business model.  Our client started this as a private retreat for friends, but he has a lot of friends in the development business and they urged him to sell some real estate as well.  The main difference is it's at 4600 feet, not 8600, so the golf season is a lot longer than at Yellowstone ... and apart from the rocks, it was a great piece of land for golf.

Enjoyable pictures. I  typically associate those kinds of vistas with camping and hiking, but golf would work as well.

One quibble that has nothing to do specifically with this course, or this promotional website..........could some new vocabulary be developed to describe greens other than "undulating" and its sister term "severely undulating?" The terms have become so ubiquitous that they end up having no meaning at all. Is there a course out there that touts its flat greens?

And Mr. Kavanaugh - it matters a little to us nobodies.

#2 looks like #2 at Cypress, except I don't think the Rock Creek bunkers are carryable for me.

Tom is this the course that was pine valley like?

Good first looks, although some of the camera angles were jarring and hard to get a good idea of the scale. If #8 is the same hole shown from ground level enclosed by trees and with mountains behind in the homepage opener, I think that will be a really enjoyable part of the round. Going from a par-3 where visuals dominate to the ninth were position and playability dominate the short par-4 seems to be an appropriate transition for the close of the front nine. I want to hear from Tom to see how the course got named "The Tom Doak Course at Rock Creek" like it says on the website. It seemed odd...

The ladies tees are over one mile up from the back tees.  Do women not benefit from higher elevation?  Do rocky mountain worms not have bigger lungs?

I believe I'd read in several places that altitude does not have nearly as great an effect on those who don't carry the ball very far or very high.

Although 2-dimensional photos don't really ever accurately depict any 3-dimensional object, this course just doesn't look all that exciting to me.

I absolutely love the blending.

Too many golf courses on impressive property try to hard to compete.   This one looks like....it fits.

What a beautiful spot (and the course doesn't look too shabby either). For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, I highly recommend a trip to that part of Montana during the summer.
