Great golf but fasten your seat belt

It's a complex situation when your favorite golf hole is ready to take a 200 foot tumble into the ocean.

Probably cheaper just to move that building over and move the green.

Why $1Million ? Why not $200,000?    I swear, it seems every time something has to be done it's a million dollars!  Like some guy out walking his iguana was interviewed for the scoop.

crazy stuff. It just blows my mind that these people don't want to save what they all ready paid so much money for. Does it not occur to them that if they lose the golf hole the propety values will go down much farther than the $2000 they are being asked to pay?

This problem was caused by erosion at the toe, or bottom, of the cliff. The exposed slope is several acres and the entire profile is beach sand. To install the gabbions, or stone cages, on the slope will be a major undertaking. The site is tight, with an 18 hole executive course and over 400 condos on 135 acres.
