What in the heck happened?
« on: December 20, 2007, 06:10:41 PM »
Where did the GCA site go this past 20 hrs? I felt like a strung out junky needing a midwinter golf fix! Thank God It's back!

I was rather hoping the ecdysis would be complete.
How disappointing to see the ugly pupa still extant.

Thank you, Burl Ives.

I was wondering if they were updating the chat board and implementing a new chat system or something.

But I definitly felt like a GCA junkie wondering when it would be back...

Step 1: "My life is powerless to GCA.com...."   ;)  ;D

OK, how many times did you guys check in to see if the site was back online?  Be honest.  I think I must have checked no less than 15 times, but no more than 25.  Does that make me a junkie?  There's gotta be one of you that checked more than me.  Please say there is... :-\

Sorry Wayne,

You got me beat, I "only" checked about 10 times...

Wayne,

Don't let Kalen fool you. As a software hack he wrote a script that checked every 10 seconds. He simply checked script results only 10 times or so.

I must admit, with my new Windows GUI automation tool the wheels are turning now....now if I can just get Tom H's password and log on as him, he'll be the new post king after 1 night of "posting".   8)

Wayne,

I was at least in your ballpark.  I blame it on business being slow with the holidays approaching.

Wayne, I delayed starting a surgery thinking my hands would stop shaking once the site returned. My waiting room was starting to become a bit boisterous but a sense of calm returned as the site reappearred!

Hard to say.  I could see this one going either way.  That being said I've never been much for picking the over/under.

Wayne,

You asked, "There's gotta be one of you that checked more than me.  Please say there is..."

Have you spoken to Tom Paul? Rumor has it he's still shaking and muttering something about, "Just when I was getting so close to 30,000..."  ;D

I recall Jack calling us last night at the Rockets game. We both checked from the game. We have issues.

Everyone in the building was cheering for the game and we were huddled around your IPhone.

Kyle, Did you see the goodlooking brunette with the muscular arms at the game? I'm telling you she could squeze your head like a grape!

Kyle didn't really look at the girls. I on the other hand had to be restrained.

Dear Wayne,

I didn't even know the web site was down.  I've never hit the refresh button or anything of the sort.

I'm up there with you Wayne.  This darn site does have an addictive quality about it, no?  :)  :)

But I did end up buying my dad a new PC online, sync'd my Zune music player, visited my other website, dbstalk.com, and had a nice lunch with Laura (who now actually works in the same building and for the same company as I).

Wow :)

I found this on the AP wire ...

Associated Press - December 20, 2007

"Workplace Productivity Reaches All-time High Today"

Analysts are struggling to identify why workplace productivity was at an all-time high today, especially in the Philadelphia and Chicago areas, and a particular spike at the Yahoo headquarters in Sunnyvale.
