Yes, Mayday

Just reduce it to C + (C-C). and since (C-C) = nullity, then C + nullity = C +

Do you think perhaps you've gotten to that point, AGAIN, where you need to go out to a diner on Friday night with Wayne and I and have some sense pounded into your head?

By Rich's logic,

C + C -C + C -C = C++

which, while it had more features than C, was never as enjoyable and was hardly the "object" of my desire. ;)

I have no idea of what mayday may have heard, but I do recall reading that in regards to overseas opportunities, there is only C that is interested (I believe for family reasons).

Do you mean an arithmetical union ("+") or logical conjunction ("^")?

If the latter, do you mean:

C ^ C ~C = (C v C) ^ ?

This would be simpler if you could tell us whether you mean for "C" as a algebraic variable or as a symbol, for example the first letter in someone's last name.

And if the first letter, does each "C" represent the same person or is each C meant to describe a different person?  In which case do you mean:

C1 ^ C2 ~(C1 v C2) = (C1 v C2) ^ ?

For God's sake, tell us what you mean -- my head hurts.  But not as much as if your conjecture is the latter not the former and turns out true.  That would be pretty sad, indeed.

Mike,
Please reference such topics with an OT.  Better yet, please do not post such topics.  What a waste of time, and you guys answer him?  Just leave it to Tom and I to beat some sense into that Delaware Country Knucklehead.

It is true that that is what I heard. I have no idea if it is a fact.

Then I think you in fact mean -- going by alphabetical order:

(C1 ^ C2) ~C2 --> C1

Tom and Wayne:
   For two guys supposedly writing a book, your use of pronouns is pathetic.  "Leave it to Tom and I."  "Out to dinner with Wayne and I."  Come on guys.  The world is paying attention.

You're due for a beating, Malone.  Newtown Square Diner, regular time, regular booth.   I am receiving a lot of requests to participate in the knocking of your knucklehead.  I think I'll just go with the biggest, strongest guy.  It is going to take some real knocking to get some sense into that thick dome of yours  ;)

I can answer your protest with one word.  Editors.  That's what they are there for.  Tom and I depend on them  ;)

Surely Malone must irk you more than our pronouns, right?  Start giving him some sh*t.  He deserves it more than Tom and I  ;)  Tom and I think so  ;)

Blame it on Rimba.  From 27 April 1995 Boston Globe:

"Masters champ Ben Crenshaw is entered, and if you're wondering what his first duty was after his Augusta magic, it was to escort his 7-year-old daughter to school as part of show-and-tell. Then it was off to Indonesia to check out a course he is designing . . ."
