I did manage to sneak down Pennard for a late game today.  The course is starting to get a bit crusty and could do with a shower or two.  We missed a lovely weekend on the Gower.  Here are some pix to begin your studies for next year!  I have high hopes for you.

The approach a flat belly may have at the 3rd.  


The short 5th - playing particularly nasty today

Bloody walkers have right of way!


Approach to 7 after a layup


It seemed like all of Swansea was on the beach today.


Approach to 10 after a brief encounter with the creek below.


14 was playing so difficult today as it was downwind.  There aren't any silly bunkers to catch the long ones!

Sean....with your steady promotion I'm developing a  fondness and intrigue for this course....and the area.

I will put it on my list to see....right up next to a revisit of the islands of St Pierre and Miguelon.

OT...Has anyone else here besides me had a visit to these two?....great place, if you don't mind remote. No golf.

Many thanks, Sean.  Only 364 days to Pennard and counting!  The good news is that my handicap continues its seemingly inexorable rise.  The bad news is that it is doing so for a purpose (oops, I meant reason)......

Why don't you lay out a golf course when you visit St. Pierre et Miquelon?  From the maps it looks like its in spitting distance from the soon to be the most beloved center of world golf at Cabot Links.  You could get in on the action.

Yes, Pennard is a fantastic golf course!! then again, that may correlate with the fact i played well that day  ;D

...and whilst i was playing the 4th hole, a surfer ran past me on the fairway on his long run down to the beach... half naked and seemingly oblivious to my wailing arms and out of control swing!  lucky boy on many levels....

Rich.....my idea in returning[kind of].

Grand Miguelon seems to have more sand than the rock I remember on St Pierre.

Hey....if it looks good, why don't you take half of the action with me?

That will let me cut my losses in half! ;D
