CBS is showing "Fantastic Finishes at the Masters." It's spectacular viewing, but the thing that I notice on the old clips that we really miss now is the view of the old Augusta caddies jumping up and down in celebration after a big holed putt. There was one awesome shot of Nicklaus and his caddie going crazy after sinking a 40 footer on the 15th hole! I doubt that such a spectacle would be shown today. So much of the emotion is gone from the game that it's really a shame. The Augusta caddies were real men who showed real emotion. And when their player won, they won real money. When Gary Player won, he helped his caddie buy a house. Great stuff!
