Reverse Old Course 3rd
« on: March 09, 2007, 12:11:53 PM »
This is the 3rd.  The 4th will follow shortly to ensure I get these out before everyone heads off to play them.

If you brave the narrows this is the reward.

This is the rather more fraught approach from the right.

Short is bad.  Plenty of room long though.

And the view back towards town.

Sean, are there published yardages as you go through this?  Does this one play from 17th tee to 15th green?  In that case it would be longer than #16 regular routing, and the back of the Principal's Nose might be right in play!

3rd is 350 yardsm the carry over the principle nose is 183 yards thats the best line, 2nd was 455 yards, real tough hole with the fairway ending at 275. The 1st was 394. Generally the holes are a fair bit shorter.
A combination of whats good for golf and good for turf.

Bill,

Standing on the tee I felt the principal's nose was in play.  Well, in play enough that I'm sure I wouldn't be aiming straight over it  :)

The story will of course be told differently if that is in fact what my ball does  ;D

I will be aiming right at the Nose....I haven't been quite accurate lately......guaranteed to be nowhere near!  ::)
