Tommy,

If you are not a paid consultant to the film you should be. I went to see it based on this thread, so you sold them at least one ticket based on "word of mouth." (or at least, word of PC - Personal Computer)

That said, it was okay, but hard to watch.  I felt like there were eyes from the theatre back rows staring at the back of my head if I dared laugh at the most racist comments.

Its been so long since I heard anyone comment on gypsies (or for that matter, Pamela Anderson) that I had to wrack my brain to understand the jokes based on stereotypes (well, not so much on the Pamela)

John,

I have taken my kids to several R films of various kinds.  By the time they are 13 they have little interest in the lesser rated films and most just aren't anything they don't hear or possibly see on MTV anyway.  And, I don't think I am a bad parent.  I did screen several R films on road trips before letting them see them when they were "tweens."  I felt a little goofy going to see something like "American Pie" alone, alleviated a bit by the fact that no one would know me when I was in Minnesota, Kansas, or wherever.

I have been lurking lately, mainly because I don't want to get involved in these silly arguments but here I go anyway.  I think it's not only arrogant, but also rather ridiculous for some of the people upset about this film to be blasting people here for enjoying it.

While everyone obviously has the right to share their opinion, I think it is highly unjustified for some of the posters who have been some of the most insulting people on here to get upset over an Andy Kaufman type prank of a movie.

This thread makes the Borat movie even more genius and funny to me.

I want to take back what I said before about the movie...it goes way to far with some of the toilet humor and ambushes.  And I fear he'll be sued successfully for fraudulently inducing the releases.  The NYS Bar is thinking about doing a lecture on this,,,I'll let you all know more as news develops.

Yes, some of it was really funny, but some of it was classless too.

The entire point of the humour in the film is to be base and without taste.  This movies come and go.  I would have thought this was obvious.  I don't like much of the humour because it is predictable, but there are some zingers that bring a smile to my face.
