Something about this pic I don't like...and it's not the GCA'er..

4.

With apologies to Sarge Cullum, I am quite certain that is the ass of one Dick Daley.

Not that there's anything wrong with that!  :P

Is that a full button down sweater vest...I don't believe I have ever seen one of those on a golfer.  Looks dapper.

OK, many have seen this picture many times before.. and it's now two years old... but still, this would have to be the grand championship of GCAer iding... that is unless someone has the group pics from one of the KP's...

I dunno, that is definitely a Green Bay, Wisconsin sartorial statement!

Huck,

Here is a group shot where you seem to be holding court but no one is listening..

OK, now for slight change of pace...

This man is not a GCAer per se, but if you have been
paying attention lately, you should be able to
get it.  The fact I am posting it should be a giveaway.
At least a few GCAers have met this very great man....

   Gents:

The fellow on the tee at Wild Horse was not immediately recognized because he is oft times on the other end of the camera - the one and only Neil Regan.

AHA!

That's right, Gene.  It isn't Sarge.

And I am embarassed, but heck, both men
should be honored by the mistake.

I knew it wasn't Daley - no offense as I have
the same, but that wasn't the right body shape.

Gene,
How could that be Neil, he's hitting a shot with something other than a putter?! :)

Cheers,
Brad

Indeed yes, posing with the 100+ year old
Castlerock Cup.
That is none other than my cousin, the B&B owner and
Castlerock stalwart, John French.

Well done SPDB.

Gene,
Thanks for the confirmation. I was sure that was Neil Regan.

JK,
That last duo is running around in Bush territory normally. I don't know where they are in that particular picture. The guy on the left is a golf course architect and the guy on the right becomes a band if you say his last name two times. :)

Tom, can you provide an ID run-down of the questionable characters in this photo for those of us who are more or less new to GCA?   :P ;D

ID of group shot: far left is John Kavanaugh, next to him I believe is Brian Gracely, kneeling front left is Mike Hendren (aka Bogey), kneeling front right is Carlyle Rood, 4th from left is Tom Huckaby, the guy to the right of the guy in the yellow hat is Lou Duran, behind Lou appears to be John Cullum. I'm not positive about the rest of those characters. :)

Kneeling-Hendren,2 more sandbaggers from Raleigh, and Carlysle Rood on the end.

Geez McBride, here you were, my roomate who has seen me neked and you still don't remember that my ass is at least one axe handle wider than the gent on 12 tee at WH!  ::)

And, as to that fine group assembled at Cusco for the traditional class year book pic, it is you and I who are missing from the pic due to our curiostity to take a side trip to Madison Lakes to slurvey the sitiation at Young's course. Once again proving that McBride will always lead you astray.

Joe H,

"The one the left is no brother....he's Italian!"

I would be proud to call Nuzzo my brother, but he's more the age of my son.

BTW, the Cuscowilla group picture depicts my best side, and it is one of the best ever taken of me.  I'll try to cut it and size it up for my passport.  The KPV group picture also ranks right up there.

As much as I express my view of the negatives of Cuscowilla here, that group picture brings a smile to my face.  I enjoyed Cuscowilla enough to loop the front 9 again recreationally that evening with a few other fine gents and missed out on the hickory loop (and the pic as well).  It was fun hearing the roars from the hickory outing a few holes behind us.  If the Dixie Cup were to return to Cuscowilla again, I might just be the first to sign-up.  I'm really bummed that I can't make it to the great Strantz tour lineup for this year's event.

Cheers,
Brad
