I saw Nicklaus win a PGA there in 1973, I think. As I recall, the par 3s are challenging. From what I heard from others who've played, the course has been changed over the years. Though it still has the classic feel, nice terrain, and mature trees, it probably belongs at the bottom of the top 10 in Ohio, which is very good considering how rich that state is at the top.

What do you mean that it is struggling? Does it not have a multi-year waiting list? Any information on the membership details? I thought that Cleveland had made a huge turn around in the late 80s and 90s. Has it gone backwards since?
