Don't play the courses at the Mariott Desert Springs or Desert Dunes. Nothing memorable at all.


Desert Dunes - really?  I found it to be interesting - what did you not like about the course?  I personally think it blows away most typical desert-style layouts as far as being something unique.

But it sure does get windy there.......

Is anybody familiar with Ironwood CC?

Walked around probably 6 of the holes...pretty typical desert golf which I've been informed is a Ted Robinson re-working of a Muirhead/Palmer - the holes I saw were mercifully absent of the housing corridors that plague desert golf.  A few dramatic par 3s that look down on the valley...beyond that, though, I'm not qualified to comment.

If you can get on the 2 best are Stone Eagle and Vintage Mountain (the back 9 is really good)
