Wow. You know they say Jack Nicklaus never missed a putt in his life but that it was the fault of a spike mark or the phase of the moon or a gust of wind. That can be an adaptive behavior for a great champion.

But on the other hand...no way Jack three-putts on the seventy-second green when he's one stroke back.

I think the answer is simple: Eliminate the bunkers and plant a whole bunch of pine trees ala ANGC so no one will be able to hit the fairways and everyone will hit it out of the trees.

It doesn't matter.  Doral will be rendered obsolete by the year 2016.    ::)

I say go ahead and make the fwys wider for the longer hitter just make sure the greens are firm and designed so the added fwy width is on the side that does not make for an easier approach :)

I'm siding with Toms. The left side bunker needs to be expanded closer to the green. Too big an advantage on the final hole.
