Brock,

If I'm not mistaken, David is already doing "some" form of design work for Mike Young out of Athens, GA.

Not sure what the exact extent of his involvement is, so don't quote me...

How about Mike Clayton?
His posts are always thoughtful and interesting.  He has a growing body of fine work in Australia including helping Tom Doak at Barnbougle.

How about Darren Clarke?  Although I'm unsure of his architecutural ability he is Irish and would most certainly make sure to include a great 19th hole!!!!

Darren was my first thought also!  You should be very afraid or seek counseling ;D

...Interesting, I didn't know that, if that is true, I think that he would be a nice contributor to a designer.

Seve.
Based 100% on their tour persona..Which pro would you hire to build your course?...
Shivas, I agree! Seve is the man. He had it all. He was long, crooked, creative, best short game ever.  Didn't he top 10 putts per green as recently as a couple of years ago on the euro tour?

There's a Canadian architect working with Seve at the moment and I think Seve is in the mode of phoning it in. His name is on the projects but he wants nothing to do with the process. At least that's where he is at now.

It would be interesting to see what kind of finishing hole Jean Van de Velde would design.

NICKLAUS!

I'd make a mint on the housing, then with all the money I made I could hire whoever the hell I wanted to build another course with something other than ROI on my mind, and therefore wouldn't have to hire someone on tour unless I felt he was the best guy for the job.
