I can tell you something about George W. Bush's politics without personally talking to the man. I can tell you at times it gets foggy in London, though every time I've been there it wasn't foggy. I knew without tasting them together that I wouldn't like Chardonnay with prime rib.

People have all sorts of prejudices based on what they have heard, read  or based on similar situations without actually experiencing the thing. It makes it much easier to get through life.

You speak to people you trust and you look at pictures of their work.

 8)  Blackhawk..  some views from fall 2004 alberta sojourn

Very similar the 17th green at Highpointe..

downhill fast and furious to 9th green

up to the 10th

view back down to 10th tee

the favorite par 5 11th

a devilish approach, start it way left

in the meadows

Whitman's wolfcreek where scotland meets canada was unique,.. but not unlike scotland meeting upper michigan (at a variety of venues that i could name), a great 27 holes of fun that elements could still be seen at Blackhawk.. 20 years laters.. he's certainly a skilled practitioner of the art..
