FYI - First Annual Hanse Cup underway
« on: October 01, 2005, 08:55:13 PM »
Just an FYI - The 1st annual Hanse Cup is underway.  It's a 8 man team match pitting Applebrook against French Creek.  Applebrook hosted today, French Creek tomorrow.

Dan,
WRONG!

The first annual Hanse Cup was held at Rustic Canyon--there is actually a Hanse Cup. (David Moriarty almost won it)

If Applebrook or French Creek wants it, they have to come and take it from us.

Also, you can print this out and take it to all of the members of both clubs. Until then, The REAL Hanse Cup resides in Moorpark, California.

We'll just need to get RC involved!  Too bad it's a 6 hour flight away  ;)

OK - It isn't the Crump Cup, but it should be a fun event.  It's a good thing any time folks recognize golf course architecture.

Dan,
5 hours, and if Jet Blue gets going to Philadelphia, you can fly in to Bob Hope. (Burbank) ;)

Are the Inniscrone guys a little chapped that they weren't invited?

Mike - that's a good one :)

Anyway - the boys from Applebrook won.  You'll need to visit Malvern if you want to see the cup this year.

Hoping to expand it in the future to allow for more players.

Applebrook is a wonderful club with great staff that really make you feel at home.  If you ever get the chance, definitely play it!
