Paul Cowley,
I think there's a wide gap between the reality and perception when it comes to ANGC.
The perception is a golf course that is lush, emerald green, and ladened with flowers, flowering shrubs and trees,
year round.
The reality is that the golf course isn't like that year round.
It's quite different, however it is groomed to peak for a week in April for the benefit of the camera.
The problem arises when clubs think that's how they should be prepared and presented to golfers for their entire golfing season.
If more was known about ANGC and its golfing season, I think a number of clubs wouldn't strive to present the "peak" for the entire season.
If those in charge, or with influence at their clubs saw ANGC on October 1st, January 1st, February 1st and June 1st, they just might change their mind with respect to how their course should play and/or be presented.
