Mike S:
Charade?
Glad you can lecture me about public golf when you are out playing Sand Hills and the like. I guess someone has to do the heavy lifting.
I've played more public golf than a host of people on this site and frankly the existing Montauk Downs was private for only a short period of time -- ditto Hominy Hill in Monmouth County, NJ. They are leigtimate public courses owned by the taxpayers now.
The Sweeney rule on public golf is that it's only public golf if you say so.
I play regularly at my host club in Passaic County which grows grass more by accident than design.
You must have been out in the sun toooooooo long Mike because the charade you bark about is closer to your side of the aisle than mine.
