But I was never taught I had to absolutely agree.  I don't.  I don't see any general and pervasive trend away from golf course architecture here, not now, any more than there ever has been.

And that is my opinion, which also has been voiced.  You can choose to respect it, or ignore it.  I have no great expectations.

One thing though:  I'd urge you to read Mr. Huntley's Mea Culpa.  Perhaps several times.  If my information is correct, I believe you are bound by etiquette to respect him.

I could cite statistics and historical data to quantify my position, or perhaps even propose a theory as to why I feel that way,  but dammit...I just don't have the time.
