Whoa! I need a little more time than this Sunday - if we give enough notice I think we could get a large turnout from the DC, PA and NY guys.

Jerry, please sign me up as well. I'll even bring my GPS device this time so we can navigate around the traffic jam!

I definitely want to go up there and play - I think we should wait for the weather trends to change - my kids are in camp in July which will work for me.

Sounds good to me.  Maybe we can make it a 36 hole day and see one of the other courses the Philly boys are always raving about like Lederach.  Messrs Bausch, Cirba and Shaffer, make it so!  ;)

Let's try for a weekend in July, eh?  If we do 36, I would recommend an Inniscrone/Deerfield combo.  They are only about 12 miles apart.

Why don't I throw out a date and see how many bite:  Saturday, July 11.

Joe, I wonder if this should be in a new thread?

Good idea.  I'll do so soon.

Played Inniscrone recently.  Some changes have been made (bunkers removed and 16th hole softened), but it is still really good, IMHO.

Here is how my eyes and camera saw it:

Joe,
I'm not positive but it looks like they moved the third tee to the left so you can't see the big drop off to the left of the fairway and moved the eighth tee to the right so its not such a long carry.  I'm probably wrong and just misinterpreting the photos or misremembering my memories.

John, that tee view on the 3rd is from the back tee, which is in a way different location.  The more 'straight on' tees on the 3rd are still there.

On the par 3 8th, the tees have not been changed.  Or maybe you played from the back tee, which is a bit farther to the left than the other tees.

Joe/John,

Are you talking about the tees on the fourth, instead of the third?

Oops, I was.  My bad.

Tees have not changed on the par 4 3rd either.

I played there this weekend with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised to find the course in terrific condition and the few changes they publicized making a while ago did not affect things as much as I anticipated.  They have removed all of the long grass that separated the fairways on the Sixteenth and that area is now a lot more playable, but both fairways were distinct options for play and the right fairway was still hidden for the most part, as I was playing with two first timers who did not realize there was a fairway in that direction.  The identity of the course is still intact and the difficulty I remember is definitely still there.  I will be back soon to give it another go.
