I recently joined a club and the course was designed by Arthur Tull. My research has turned up very limited information and I was wondering what others might know about him. The course is pretty straight forward with limited fairway bunkering and very small greens that are strongly sloped but not heavily contoured.

Arthur or Alfred?
Alfred Tull worked with Dev Emmet and did a bunch of courses in the NYC Metro area, especially Long Island.
The addition of 18 holes to the Bethpage facility in the 1950s was overseen by Tull and his work can be seen on the Yellow and Blue courses where it is integrated with much of the original Tillinghast design.

Alfred Tull designed the original nine holes for the Hercules Powder Company in Delaware. He may have beaten Flynn out for the job. Flynn supplied a proposal but it was not accepted. The eventual job went to Tull, but that was several years later. Either Flynn wasn't available or they liked Tull's work better for whatever reason.

If you joined a club with one course - I'm pretty sure I know where you are. Tull also designed both the Woodmont CC courses in Rockville and the NLE Brooke Manor. He must have been the only game in town between WWII and the late 1950s. I've always wondered if Flynn would have received those commissions had he lived longer.

Tull had a job in the jungle once, but I understand he bungled it.
Actually, I've played a number of his courses and let's just say he didn't seem to learn much from Emmett in terms of creativity and daring.

Since you asked for it...of course the text does not do the interchange justice...especially the slight pause in the last sentence ;D......

Not too difficult a quiz as Tull's only other MD effort other than Woodmont is Norbeck CC. Eddie Ault did rework of NCC in the 1970s.

You should be aware that Tull did most of the Green Something course out near Salisbury. You know the one...I've played it but don't have time to dig up my notes, and the day I was there I was bitten so many times by Green Head flies that it will always be Green Head CC to me anyway. It's a really awful course that has the distinction of being one of a very few that are private on the eastern half of the state.
