Some golf holes are created more equal than others. Though it is the architect’s responsibility to knock character into every hole, some enjoy natural advantages over others based on where they fall across the property. No matter how clever the third or thirteenth holes at Pebble Beach are, they can’t produce the one-of-a-kind drama that its cliff line holes do.

The artists below are our favorites at capturing such magical golf holes from around the world, each in his own style. This section exists as a pleasurable reminder of such great holes, be them parkland in nature or set along large bodies of water.
