Has anyone played these new Tom Fazio designed core courses? If so, please give impressions......Norht vs the south, the bentgrass greens vs the tifeagle...the overall conditioning, the ability to remember the holes, etc...

Rather Bland.  Remember maybe one or two holes, but overall very forgetable.

Anthony,

Played the North course back in October and posted on it. Search back and you'll find some of my details. A few highlights though:

-Over the top club house.
-First rate caddie program (which doesn't get used much)
-Very good par 3's
-Best practice area in the world (That I've seen IMHO)

Mr. Edge why was it rather bland?

I will agree about the practice area.  Very nice, but overall a lack of imagination.  Played it in the middle of a trip between Secession, and a few others in the area.  Just did not stand out.

Played a quick 18 on the newer of the two and liked it a lot.  A great amount of variety, different shot options, enough change in the topography (much of it created) to keep your mind sharp.  Anything but bland unless one expects a Top 10 everytime Fazio's name is attached.
