Build a golf resort along the water in Gaza?
You would think a president would have more important things to think about
Maybe twenty years ago, I had someone approach me about building a seaside golf course in Israel. I wondered if it would be a safe place for my associates to live and work, and after thinking about whom to ask, I wrote an email to Thomas Friedman, still a columnist then at the New York Times.
His response was that Israel in general was safer than it sounded over here, but to make sure that the seaside property was not in mortar range of the Gaza Strip. Indeed, it was.
So I suspect if Gaza is to be cleared out, I know where is the valuable land to develop.
