Minnesota: After playing Windsong Farm and Minikahda last year (thanks to the incredibly welcoming and kind local gca contingent), perhaps I can find my way out to a couple more of the great courses in the area.  The new course at Windsong looked pretty cool, and I'd love to get up to Northland at some point, but the courses closer to the cities are far more likely.  I'll say Minneapolis GC, since I've been invited.

Brian -

Have you played WBYC?

I'm mostly excited to spend a week in Dornoch this summer. Believe we're playing the Championship Course 6+ times which will be wonderful.

Two courses I’m hoping to play not far from me but hard to get an invite are Gulph Mills and Due Process

Never been to Bandon or played TOC, although I’ve had lunch at the R&A.

So much golf to play, so little time....

Due to the latest (hopefully last) hip operation, I haven’t even swung a golf club since about mid-September so I’ll be absolutely delighted just to play the living daylights out of Ladybank as much as physically possible in ‘25.

Indian Neck Farms is currently for sale. Drove by many times during construction but never found out who did the work.

Indian Neck can be had for a mere 34 million.  Consultation work was done by NGLA superintendent, don’t know who did actual construction

Jasper Park GC when it re-opens. The goal is July.
But there is so much to do before the course is ready.

For me personally Edmonton CC with the full 18-holes open this Spring.
It was a major renovation of greens and bunkers - along with some holes changes too.

Upstate NY: I expect to be in the area somewhat regularly for the next few years, and hope to finally see a few of the area's best.  There is a lot of ground to cover, and I don't know a ton about specific courses, but I'm most curious about Monroe GC, because a friend I trust thought it was the best in the region.

Brian,

It's my choice there too.

You can find my email easily. Send me a note there. I will provide you with suggestions and arrange a game or two. I work in Upstate New York a lot. I plan to play a little more than normal this year.

I'm listing two locations:

    -   Purdue for BOTH Kampen and Ackerman Courses  (one location even though two courses)
    -   Arcadia Bluffs South

These are glaring omissions of courses played within my region.

Back home  want to see Mountain Ridge, as it's one of the few places in NJ that is highly regarded and I haven't seen yet
Sounds like a plan

My home club course as it existed in 2012.  (Changes dictated by the Greens [sic] Committee last year and changed maintenance practices have made it a different course.)

Like many of my countryman, I think I'm a fair chance of heading down to 7 Mile Beach this year

I have always wanted to play at Machrihanish, whilst I've played a bit of golf in Ayrshire, couldn't convince any of the other boys that an eight hour round trip from Troon was a good use of time.

2025 should mark my retirement and give me way more time for bucket list trips.  Priorities this year are an August trip to Cabot and Highland Links in Nova Scotia, and a September trip to the north of Ireland including Royal County Down, Royal Portrush and St. Patrick's.  Longer-term goals:

1. Fill in the blanks on the 1998-1999 Golf Magazine peg board my wife bought me years ago. I'm at 40, should easily get to 60 or 70 over the next five years.
2. Play all the great second-tier names in the Met Section. I've played most of the big names (WF, Balty, Shinnecock, National, Sleepy, Somerset, Plainfield, etc.) but am really interested to see (for example) what Brian Schneider has done at North Jersey.  There are 30+ local courses that I expect to really enjoy and I'm going to pick my way through the list (Hackensack, Wykagyl, Fenway, Inwood, Southampton...)

I saw another new course at Arcadia opens this summer -- The Dozen, 12 holes (duh) all Par 3's and 4's. My wife said it sounded perfect.

Good pick up Buck.  I hadn't heard about this yet.  Interesting no design credit provided in their press release.

Any idea where the course is located??

No mention of the architect anywhere that I can find --maybe in-house?

Looks like its about 3/4 miles east of the bluffs entrance.

My goal this year is to play every 9 hole course in Montana....There's quite a mix of quirk and solid nines'  A bonus is seeing more of this state I've called home for 42 years and to fish some different water along the way.
