I would imagine "modernizing the course" means Brandon Johnson will deliver meaningful improvements, including possibly some serious design changes, where he sees fit. "Maintains the original design vision" is likely just included out of respect to Arnold Palmer. Brandon has delivered previously at other APD courses such as Old Tabby Links on Spring Island and Wexford on Hilton Head Island.
