"Best New Macdonald/Raynor" award
« on: January 05, 2024, 10:00:00 AM »
Have laughed with friends for a while that it may come time for this.

Is it sincere flattery?
Is it what clients and the people want?
Isn't it good to make the style more accessible?
Is it too easy to default to well-known templates?
Will it go on forever?
Will any other architectural style ever have such a Renaissance?
Does every architect get to do "their" version of it?

Silva in Tennessee
PGA National Match
Old Macdonald
Lido
Ballyshear Thailand
Kinsale
Charleston Muni
Arcadia Bluffs New

I know there are others I'm forgetting and probably others in the pipeline.

I've played PGA National Match, and I would call it a Staples opus, and not a MacRaynor. It has touches of MR, but it is not to be matched with the others. It was not Andy's goal.
Coming in 2024
~Elmira Country Club
~Soaring Eagles
~Bonavista
~Indian Hills
~Maybe some more!!

I think the Macdonald / Raynor style photographs well and is easily recognizable. In the instagram era we are in, that is a winning combo.
