Any reason why they are starting on #2?

I noticed #1 is a par 3 which is an odd thing but also kind of an isolated hole.

It's not a great starting hole and is easy to avoid for championship play.

They often use New 12,13 & 18 in the composite course. I am told only two are used this time? Which two holes?

Ciao

12 and 13 on New - the rest are the Old

I haven’t been watching so don’t know what other hole they drooped from The Old aside from the first? Guessing they perhaps bypass the third?

Thats my guess as the hole is reachable for a lot of the women.

Ciao

Wish I was able to watch more of this.

The 11th hole (played 9th for this tournament) is one of the best par 3s I've ever been lucky enough to play.

It's a flat respite on a hilly course but the redan style green begs you to ignore incredible bunkering and the 200+ yards and go after the flag. It's an ideal golf hole...

I'd love to play this one again. The fact you can take the train to this course blows my NYC mind.
