I'll just leave it at that since I know some outcome. Don't know which course they are playing, or if it is a composite routing.

More specifically, they are playing the McDonald/Raynor Old White.

58 on Old White is really something. I don’t care what the event is or who sponsored it. He still had to count each shot. Very very impressive.

I’m sure the course was set up very hard.

For the courses LIV has played on that have also previously held PGA or DP Tour events, it does appear that the winning 54 hole scores is comparable to the previous 72 hole scores, which would suggest that the LIV events are setting up the courses 1-1.5 strokes easier.  But a 58 on any 7,200 golf course is crazy impressive.

Interesting tidbit 1: The last 2 PGA Tour events held at the Greenbriar were won by current LIV Players, Joaquin Niemann in 2019 and Kevin Na in 2018. Both played below average this week at the Greenbriar compared to their previous course history.

Interesting tidbit 2: During the 2019 PGA Tour event at the Greenbriar Kevin Chappell shot a 59.

And Stuart Appleby shot 59 in the final round to win in 2010.

Yep, to beat Jeff Overton who went on to make the Ryder Cup team without ever winning a tournament.

Finally watched the tape.  Little if any wind. Rules allowed for lift/clean/place in the fairway, etc.  He bogeyed the redan hole.

My impression of the broadcast, So much music I never want to hear again. Video had so many effects on my vision my headed started snapping, violently, as my eyes tried to get to neutral.  I had 3 3/4 hours to view and watched maybe 30 minutes before deleting.  Never again.

When I played, which was obviously a different time, the pga tour basically owned and controlled much of the course prep and conditions.  It caused some issues with some hosting clubs who did it want to be told how to maintain their course leading in to the events.

Likely that LIV is simply a quick rent with some basic desires but the clubs are more influential in the rough and pushing the limits of drying out?

Don’t know this but just my guess

Not to mention whiners.
