Just wondering if anyone knows any examples of courses, well-known or otherwise, that have splits of 8 and 10 holes returning to the clubhouse instead of 9 holes? Or even 7 and 11.

Both courses by Tom Doak at Stonewall in Elverson PA have the 8th hole return to the clubhouse with a par 3 ninth playing away. There are many many examples, I just cite Stonewall as I think it’s interestingly consistent.
Jeffersonville, the lovely Donald Ross muni in PA, has the 10th hole returning to the clubhouse I do believe, with 8 holes back side. And Winged Foot East is the same IIRC, with the big tree at the 10th green by the clubhouse.
