No list that doesn't include you Barney is worth its salt. Of course, Golf's Most Bitter used to make these collections, but alas, he's busy challenging for the inverse architectural PIP list.

Learned:

Dustin Johnson and Paige Spiranac are influential
"Chief Governance Officer" is a business title
Jimmy Dunne didn't make the list, so he isn't as important as I thought

What amazes me is how many social media “stars” are on there, especially You Tube instructors.

How sad if this is the way our game is going ….

Nice to see Marty Jertson on there…

Who are the raters? What was the methodology? What are the numerical ratings for each? How could they leave off Charles Barkley?

All we need is one more rater to give Tom an 8.5 and he might jump over JT and DeChambeau.

Why? Lots and lots of people watch YouTube videos, so it follows that someone "on YouTube" is influential. Very few of my junior golfers  golfer know who Tom Doak is (sorry, Tom), but they know who Good Good is.

But I will still be below Paige Spiranac.   :)

I think this is the first time I've made one of these lists.  Was feeling pretty good about some of the people I was ahead of, until I saw some of the people I was behind.

No idea who took that picture, but I did own that shirt, so it's not a fake.

I would have thought Ben Crenshaw at #40 would have been included in the GCA list of the OP...guess he's chopped liver.

P.S.  Do you think it burns Jay Monahan that Norman sits a few spots in front of him? ;D

I think that Tom Coyne is fairly influential and more so than some of these no name people.

a rather disheartening list(present company excluded of course)

Bob Parsons 21 spots ahead of Mike Keiser tells you all you need to know,

Didn't recognize Paige Spiranac from that angle....

I'd say numbers of social media "followers" are GREATLY over rated in this compilation.(free to click "follow")
Pretty sure golfers annually paying hundreds of millions in lodging and golf fees(to say nothing of changing the entire mindset, taste and quality of resort destination golf) should carry a bit more weight.(even if not in all the right places)

And If I see one more putter maker on the list I'm going to puke
