Not exactly GCA but since this is the most recent thread on Scioto,
I just saw that Walker Inman, the long-time head pro at Scioto, passed away at age 92 earlier this year.
https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/port-st-lucie-fl/walker-inman-10804556The obituary mentions that he was a consummate Southern gentleman, and a man of faith. He was definitely both! I am not much of either, but I greatly enjoyed working in the bag shop at Scioto CC while I was an undergrad at Ohio State University in the 1990s. The assistant pros and bag shop guys were the typical bunch of young bozos, but we had a lot of respect for Mr. Inman and he definitely enjoyed our company even though we were college-age derelicts. I miss those days!
I'm sure that quite a few posters must have met Mr. Inman if you played Scioto pre-2000.
