Impressed by the set of greens at North Hills

They had a variety of slopes and shapes but I didn’t think there was a goofy one.   Over the years they have developed a wonderful subtlety that was such a pleasure.

They aren’t as challenging as the championship courses but they fit the place so well.

They need to do a few more bold things like freeing the hole with the water hazard from trees and figure out how to direct play on the parallel hole to the left.

They also need to just make 18 fun by opening up the right but add some ground hazard.

I enjoyed the course again.

They have to block the pool on 18 too. Otherwise it's a fun course.
We have a pool and a pond, the pond would be good for you.

Another under the radar course in Philadelphia.  I hear the conditioning and facilities have really improved under club corp, and it’s superintendent was the superintendent of the year for club corp in a recent year.

My photo album from a visit in August of 2019 is really enhanced by the addition of some early photos courtesy of the Dallin Collection at the Hagley Museum.

Stunning how much better the course looked in 1924 without all the tree clutter and modernized bunkering.
