Thanks Spangles; great sounding choices. I am going ahead and booking even though I am waiting for a hip replacement; should be cleared to go by then unless yet another part gives out. I am ok with deposit as any forfeited funds go to a very good cause; free drinks for my friends.

Hopefully more Yanks will mean a more robust socializing this year

Jason Topp and I are booked for 36 at Brancaster on Friday the 16th. Not sure where else we will play before/after, but this course can't be missed.

I took that as perhaps an invite for others to join you but having been on the website I see it is either singles as a two ball or foursomes as a four. They don't allow three balls. They also don't publish the greenfee on the website. As a Scotsman I'm wary of signing up for anything without knowing the price !

Having said that, it is a course I'm keen to see so if there is anyone else looking to play on the Friday and wants to make up a 2-ball let me know.

Niall,
Sorry, I thought everyone knew that Brancaster is a two ball club.  ;D
Hopefully more of our group makes times that day. We could probably mix up partners after lunch if folks wanted to.

I'm booked at the Petwood, but as I will be closing in on 75 and running out of unique costumes (I may have to consider exotic haberdashery) I suspect I'll be limiting myself to one round per day.  That being said, as the time nears, I might be looking for some other courses in the area.

Great to see so many familiar names. I've added a second hotel, with rates, to the initial post.  You will need to sort accommodation yourselves.

Trying to resolve payment issues, so more info on deposits ASAP.

It's looking increasingly like a Happy New Year.

I have to say that some of the names being added to the list of participants are making me rethink my previous thoughts. Some pretty tasty GCA luminaries coming in there!

Ward get in the queue....

First 24 hats are now in the ring , but with a few opting for limited rounds,  space remains.
Very pleasing to see a great mix of familiar and new.

More soon.

Tony,

Please count me in. It's been 10 years since my last BUDA, which is far too long.

Just booked a room at the Petwood.

Thank you very much for organizing!

As I recall, you were way too tired to follow through with any of your attempts at anything approaching the activities of a proper lothario. Good luck next time though!

We won't be requiring any accoms as the stupidly outrageous amount of money we've recently spent on the motorhome needs to be recouped somehow!

Tony,

Thanks for organising - all sounds great to me. Please count me in too and I’m keen to play all 5 rounds, if there’s still space to do so.

Room booked at the Golf Hotel.

Perhaps you are on to something with the testestarone assessment for you see I carefully chose my wording employing escort in my offer.
Alas lothario is a term from the distant past for this old eunuch.

BTW I may need to lobby Robin for more strokes this time around if my orthapaedic situation doesnt improve

After my first, all-to-brief taste of Buda this year, I would love to have been able to attend but unfortunately already have something arranged for that weekend.  If there’s space for a hanger on at Seacroft for the Monday, then it would be great to join you all there.
