This is a major moment for golf in Wales, even if the transfer of control of the Curtis Cup from the old LGU to the R&A renders a return visit to a club of the modest domestic scale of Conwy very unlikely (the 2023 renewal will be at Merion, by way of contrast, not least in rates of annual subscription…)
I’lol be there all three days and hope to say hello to any GCAers in attendance: crowds have been COVID-restricted to small numbers each day, so spectating should be a real treat, and those watching on TV should see some lovely shots of Conwy’s splendid setting between sea and mountains.
